Merlot

The grapes were harvested during the early morning hours, went through meticulous hand sorting in the winery, cold macerated and then fermented for 10 days. After the pressing a malolactic fermentation took place in the barrels (barirque) and another 4 months of aging , to insure optimal development. During the aging process, 5% Carignan and 5% Viognier were added to match the wine to the style wanted to emphasize at Tulip. Fruity and rich character with hints of roasted coffee and wood and a medium body.
